The THPL journey is founded on the idea that we will all have access to our wonderful planet, its resources, and its natural benefits for years and years to come. To make this principle a reality we must be active about how we live here, how we use our natural resources and how we protect them and preserve them. And so, it is worth noting that this week another element of protecting our resources was put in place. In the U.S., President Obama designated two new national monuments protecting 1.35 million acres of federal land surrounding the Bears Ears Buttes in southeastern Utah and about 300,000 acres around Gold Butte in Nevada. In so doing these remarkable and unique locations will remain in a more pristine way for generations and generations. To be appreciated and experienced as they are to be, in their original natural state of beauty. We can, all of us, take our own way forward to protect the earth. Today we can all be thankful for this significant and explicit way of saying that our world matters, to all of us.
Loving life especially when we have a beautiful place to live.
