Along a journey, especially one that traverses time, even long amounts of time; there are moments, maybe many of them, where we will encounter the unfamiliar (that which we are not accustomed to). And while we might not look forward to the unknown, the unfamiliar, we have an opportunity to use these moments as a catalyst for growth and development. What is it that we are afraid of? What will it take to embrace the unfamiliar and learn from it? There are answers in our community, in our life and family; there are answers in the readings that we can do, and the stories that we can read about from others who encountered such a situation. And from this we can assemble our thoughts for how to proceed. We will really never be without a path forward, we might just have to be more active to find what it is that we need to take the leap into the unfamiliar. Over time we will find that doing this is safe, that there is a safety net provided by THPL and our community and that it is even possible that we will seek out the unfamiliar because of what it can lead us to. Yes indeed, here we come…..
