There is so much to experience on our THPL journey but there is one-day of the year that brings more attention than other days and that is the summer solstice. It is that wonderful time when the Earth’s northern axis is tipped toward the sun, giving us the longest days and shortest nights of the year. And then you have today; had we looked up at the moon we would be witnessing something that has not been seen in decades. Depending on our local time zone, the full moon will rise on the same day as the June solstice for the first time since 1948. And while this may not be as epic as some of the experiences we have on our THPL journey, it is a unique day and one that should make us think about the beauty that is around, the marvels of space, and the chance to see something different.
