Three days into 2017 and the risk is starting to build that the great ideas that we have for our 2017 goals will soon just become good ideas and remnants of the past. It is proven again and again that our New Year goals are hard to sustain, we dream up all of the great things that we want to do, and we add them to our list and start the year with great mission and purpose. Then reality hits and what we thought were good ideas now seem hard to fit into our “normal” lives. But maybe, just maybe, before we give up on our good thoughts and plans, we should think about adjusting our goals to be a bit more realistic. Maybe a few less, or reduced frequency, or lessening the intensity. There are modifications that we can make that will make our goals more reachable, more sustainable. It is by having a good sense of “reality” that we can achieve more as we start off this fabulous new year. Here’s to being smart and doing more!
