Today the THPL journey, for thousands of amazing athletes, took place in Kona Hawaii at the Ironman World Championships. They arrived because they were, over the past 12 months, some of the fastest (by age group and professional) triathletes around the world. They all show up ready to give it their all and make their dreams come true to compete in the world championship race. While only the top will compete for the top positions it is for certain that everyone will be pushing as hard as they can during the race. The distances are always hard, swim 2.4 miles, ride 112 miles, run 26.2 miles – do it through lava fields in the heat of Kona and it makes for a wicked hard day. But this is what we search for – a big day, one that we practiced for, suffered for, committed to, and sacrificed to get to. It might be Kona, it might be some other goal – what matters and is consistent is the commitment that is made to take the THPL journey to the next level. The opportunity is there for all of us, the question is are we ready – hard to do…yes…. remarkably rewarding…..absolutely. Here’s to every Ironman athlete today who gave their all to get to Kona. We are there with you….all the way.
