As we get prepared for a big event, race, or adventure we add load to our system. We start increasing the volume little by little and we adjust accordingly. And when we have all of “life” under control this works very well. What we must be aware of, on our journey, is that the body (nor the mind) know one “load” from another. If we are taking on more than just the physical, if we are being challenged in work, or family, or other parts of our life then the stress that comes from those activities adds up cumulatively with our increased physical activity and if we are not careful then we might just overload our system. So, let’s all just be aware as we hurdle quickly towards our next big goal, and stay close to how we feel, and what our “system” is telling us. If we need more rest, more nutrition, or just a break then let’s respond accordingly and keep ourselves from overload. We will be thankful that we did this when we finish our big event successfully and with a clear heart and a strong body……indeed.
Loving life when I am loading the system
