The way back

The THPL journey is heading back above the equator, trading summer for winter, the unfamiliar for the familiar and the different for the regular.  It does not come without risk when we travel back from two weeks away in many countries, with many cultures, and a whole “heap” (Australian for a lot) of different people.  We run the risk of falling back into a routine, albeit a good one, and there is so much that we are “used to” that we can get away with putting little energy into living, we go to that position of “normal” and from there it is indeed possible that little new happens.  On the contrary when we are in places different and unfamiliar we must stay tuned to everything, differences in food, language, custom, location, and more.  We are forced to learn and adapt, to accept and embrace, and to appreciate and explore.  It is how we grow, how our version of THPL makes us better than we were before and how we keep interested and motivated to “chase tomorrow”.  The way back does not have to keep us from our true THPL mission, we just have to remind ourselves that the familiar cannot be enemy of progress.  One more long flight to go…..

Loving life when I am going just about anywhere
