From Los Angeles to Sydney Australia, a mere 15-hour flight. Plenty of time to think, to contemplate, and to absorb the magnitude of the upcoming six continents challenge. A week from tomorrow, I set out on marathon number one, from the north side of the Sydney Harbor Bridge. The plan to run 26.2 miles and then to do it again and again – six days in a row on six different continents. With one week to go, the planning is done, the training is done, and all is left is to stay calm and relaxed for the final week of prep. And for sure what we will find when we “toe the line” and set out on this adventure will be magical - but equally magical has been the support that others have provided that have brought us to this moment. I find it humbling and remarkable and a true testament to the positive human spirit that is around us. We just have to reach out and when we do we will find way more than we expected and we will be thrilled to know that the world is indeed full of a ton of great people. I have met many of them along the journey and I look forward to meeting many, many more in the next few weeks. Ready to launch we are!
Loving life with one week to go!
