the big commitment

There are a growing number of examples of people who are living their version of THPL and are getting to a point in their accomplished careers when then take it to another level.  A level not previously imagined, nor attempted, nor expected.  And this past Saturday rock climber Alex Honnold became the first person to climb, El Capitan the 3,000-foot granite wall in Yosemite Valley without ropes or safety gear.  This is arguably the greatest rock climbing accomplishment and it is also an amazing showing of what happens when you take on a huge challenge and make an over-the-top commitment to achieving the unthinkable.  We all should think about, in our own context; what would be a big commitment that we could each make?  What would be at the next level in our lives?  And even if we are not ready to go do it then it is important to at least think about it.  Alex has been on a life mission to climb the hardest routes around the world.  Maybe it is time for each of us to figure out our life mission and start building in a direction when we can indeed make that very big commitment……

Loving life when making that big commitment
