You have to admire

There are a lot of people whom we know of and think highly of.  They are, by the way that they live, part of our extended THPL community.  When we think about their performance we can learn a lot from how they go about achieving the remarkable way that they live, the amazing results that they post and the grit and determination that they bring to their discipline.  And it is becoming more common to hear of their amazing feats and achievements.  This weekend another example of extraordinary results was demonstrated by Killian Jornet; he won the Hardrock 100 Ultramarathon – a difficult challenge to begin with – he made it even more remarkable when he won, in spite of falling and separating his shoulder at mile 40.  He had to run with his arm wrapped and had to negotiate the ups and downs, the technical terrain, and doing it mostly during the night.  Winning this race, a phenomenal result – doing it with an injury that affects every aspect of how you run – even more amazing.  Here’s to the benchmark people who remind us every day that we can do more than we think we can

Loving life when I get inspired by people I admire
