The ridgeline

There are metaphors and there are real life examples and sometimes they come together and quickly make us picture, in our minds, what we are talking about or getting ourselves into.  The idea of a ridgeline serves both purposes.  For reference a ridgeline is a line formed along the highest points of a mountain ridge, often looking scary and treacherous.  Say ridgeline and we know what you mean, go on the ridgeline and it feels as scary and treacherous as it sounds.  Not to be deterred the ridgeline is a place to go to get connected with nature – on the edge – feeling it and knowing that this is no metaphor.  Follow the YouTube link to get a real sense of a ridgeline and the awesomeness that we can feel when we get out there and take it to the limit.
