The night before

The 2 am wakeup call is much closer to this moment than it should be. Yes, it is hard to get to bed early enough when the race start is 4 am. But when we set out to run a 100 miles in the mountains of Colorado all bets are off.  Tomorrow we set out to complete the Leadman challenge – the fifth race, the toughest of them all, and at the end of the series no less.  We know, though, that the preparation is done, the mindset is there, the support ever-present and now it is time to race (or run or hike).  It is actually a privilege to be able to get out and take on these kinds of challenges and for this reason alone tomorrow will be an amazing day, the goal understood here we go.  Next blog is post-race and it will be fun to write.  Let’s all keep challenging ourselves and doing way more than we think we can…..that is the truth for today…….indeed it is

Loving life even when I am taking on a big challenge
