Climate Justice

The best leaders are followers and the best followers are also leaders.  On our journey we have the opportunity to play both roles and, in this way, we deconstruct the thought of how power gets implemented in our lives and across society.  It is an empowering approach; we can benefit from our peers when they take on a cause and lead us forward and we have the opportunity to lead from the front when a topic inspires us to act.  This approach is not a concept, it is being played out in and around our lives and it behooves us to embrace it.  A very real example is on display as the world prepares for the UN climate action summit.  The push for Climate Justice is coming from youth activists who are pushing an agenda for climate change policies now.  They are not waiting for others to act and carry the climate change mission.   It is the beginning of a new paradigm for how we think about change and addressing key issues.  No longer will we need to wait on policy to catch up to what we know we need, we just need to organize and act and bring others with us.  The youth of the world are showing us how to lead, and we all need to heed this moment and get on board and bring mother earth back into a healthy state.  From there anything is possible.

Loving life when I am part of a movement
