100 days

For sure when I set out on my challenge to run ten miles a day for 100 consecutive days, I would never have imagined the state of the world on day 100, March 29, 2020.  It is a very different time for sure.  The challenge started on December 19th, 2019, when COVID-19 was not a pandemic and the Christmas season was full-on.  The 100-day challenge is long enough that you know going in there will be something that is unpredictable that will challenge our ability to stick to the challenge. Usually, we get an injury, life gets in the way, or we lose interest. All are the normal reasons that we did not complete a challenge like this.  In this instance, I had all of that and then some.  Now that it is over it is rather rewarding to know that you pushed through till the end and you held it together.  It is great to be done and have logged 1,015 miles.  Normally, it would be fun to call it a day and end the challenge.  This time, though, because of the crazy times we are in I am going to extend the ten miles a day for as long as possible or at least till we get back to normal travel and social interaction.  So, if you have never taken on a 100-day challenge I urge you to do it, it really is a great way to test ourselves, accomplish a lot and feel good about what we are able to accomplish.  Times can be good even when they are not so good, for sure.

Loving life when I complete a 100-day challenge
