A new routine

It is hard to know if it has been five, six, or seven weeks since most of us started to shelter in place and while we thought it was going to be just for a short time that idea has been blown up.  So now that reality has sunk in and we are going to be here for a while we have to be proactive to make sure that we don’t let the stress of the situation get the best of us.  There are many “de-stressors” that we can embrace, and it is important that we follow them and stay balanced, to the best degree that we can.  A few thoughts that are a good place to start are:

·      Do something that we enjoy doing, every day.  We don’t need permission to have fun.

·      Call a friend or a family member and talk about something positive

·      Go for a walk, do some yoga, exercise, etc.

·      Stay away from negative conversations – turn off the news for a while

·      Add our own “positive / destressing” activity

We can make time every day to follow our new routine.  It will help and we will all be better for it.  So, let’s share the idea far and wide and end on a smile, it just feels good!

Loving life when I embrace my new routine
