Tell your story

For many of us, we have been sheltering in place, working from home, spending time on Zoom, and not finding too much variety in our days.  In each encounter, though, it seems that we are talking a bit less about COVID-19 and are using our “water cooler talk” to get to know each other a bit better.  Since we are not necessarily rushing to get the train, to a plane, to another meeting or some other commitment we have started to be a bit more interested in each other.  Where we live, what we are doing, how we are doing, and then even time to tell a story or two.  The storytelling has been a highlight of the shelter in place circumstance.  We all love to hear a story, we remember it better and we can connect with each story on some level. So, let’s keep using some of our time every day to tell a story, listen to a story, and then share a story.  It will make for better encounters and meet-ups even if they are not in person!  Here’s to telling stories – let’s make them good – they are the currency of our day!

Loving life when I hear another story
