It would be fair to say that none of us have ever had to deal with the range of issues that the coronavirus has brought to our lives. It has affected our work lives, personal lives, economic lives, our social lives, our family lives, and more. And given the impact, it is having, and our inability to effectively fight the virus we are left wondering what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. Yes, we know that social distancing works, and we know that bolstering our medical system is critical If we are to win this fight. Yet, we don’t know when it is truly safe to resume normal operations and without some move to normalcy, many people will continue to suffer from loss of employment and much more. So how do we balance these situations and the related consequences? It seems that the best thing to do is to use data and science to guide us, to make small moves towards normal operations, to stay close to all that we are doing, and communicate consistently and effectively to everyone. With each small step, progress is made and we are going to need a lot of small steps before we can get back too much of what we want. So, for now, let’s keep working the balancing act and not upset our circumstances too much too soon. We are making progress, let’s not lose it.
Loving life when I am part of making the balancing act work
