This entire COVID-19 pandemic experience has challenged all of our sensibilities. We went from nothing to something really big in a short while and along the way just about everything we thought would or would not happen was challenged. And it does not seem that this theme will change anytime soon. We have had more material issues happen than we could ever imagine from the number of deaths (sobering and terribly sad) to unemployment at an all-time high, to carbon emissions and pollution down materially. Throughout all of the difficulty there are reasons for hope; we are developing treatments and vaccines faster than ever and we changed supply chains and introduced government programs as quickly as we have ever seen. It is from all of these experiences and examples that we should reset our own expectations for what is possible. If we can make changes on this broad scale in essentially a moment’s notice, could we not then do the same for ourselves. So much of what has been in the way in the past is being challenged and that is mindset. It took a pandemic to change mindsets and we should leverage this to make the improbable into probable and change into opportunity. We sit at the intersection of possibilities and it is up to us to choose the right one. We have proven we can do it – now let’s get set to do it in our own lives and then more broadly. Yes indeed!
Loving life when the improbable becomes probable
