Throughout history and on our own journey what we have come to know is that there are times when we need to challenge ourselves to rise up to a new level. And our new challenge is to use our voice to address the issues of social injustice and racism. It is not enough to sit neutrally or simply ‘not be racist.’ We know that change hasn’t come from that. We need to do our own research on how we can improve. We need to listen better. We need to amplify Black voices and we need to always check ourselves to make sure that we are staying true to making Black Lives Matter. It’s time to make it real as there is no time like the present for action.
