As the days go on and the pandemic gets more and more entrenched in every aspect of our lives, we are realizing and feeling that this is a serious situation (understatement of the year). Regardless of our politics, what we know is that too many people have been infected, too many people have died, too many people have lost their jobs, have no food, and no income and the pathway out for this group, a group in the millions, is just not good or obvious. We need to have empathy for them, we need to care about their circumstance, and we need to do something about the massive impact that the virus is having on people. We cannot be tired of the virus – that does nothing – we have to behave responsibly, and we have to do everything we can to help those in need. Time is running out and we cannot afford more tragedy than we already have. Let’s all do something to help, to care, to not accept this situation….now
