Two steps forward, three back

51 years ago, most people who saw the Cuyahoga River catch on fire in Cleveland were horrified by how we were polluting the waters around the country.  It was a lightning rod event and it catalyzed a series of changes, locally and federally to clean up the environment and to reduce the pollution that had run rampant without oversight.  And now we find ourselves in a similar spot again.  The river caught on fire again and we have started to roll back the advances that we had made.  There is no good explanation for allowing any of us, people or companies, to pollute the earth and put our natural resources in an acute and untenable state.  We know what makes a difference and how to continue cleaning up our world and protecting her from other man-made abuses.  The time to act is always – no excuses – pretty simple; let’s protect the planet and help Mother Nature thrive instead of survive – yes indeed!

Loving life when I take steps forward
