Each of our journeys are of our own making. We have every right to make it the way we want and whatever the outcome it is not to be judged. Whether we are a free spirit or a home-body we can find ways to tap into the energy inside us waiting to gush out exciting us to find out what is possible in our lives. Marc-Andre Leclerc was drawn to the life of an alpinist, one who, in his free-spirited way created amazing opportunities to explore remote alpine rock and ice walls and to make some of the boldest solo accents in the history of climbing. And with no margin for error there was always a risk that his latest climb would be his last climb. In the recently released movie The Alpinist, Marc-Andre’s life is chronicled, and we get to know this bold and impetuous and amazing person who sadly did not make it back from one of his trips and died on a mountain in Alaska. The loss of a free-spirit like Marc-Andre is never easy but he did live the life he chose, and his journey was fulfilling for the time he was with us. We will keep him in our thoughts and look for our opportunities to live with the energy and enthusiasm he had for life, it was special, indeed.
