There are some things that we learn along our journey and when we do, we feel better about what we know, how we live, and what we need to care about. There is much to get better at and part of what we can all work on is our understanding and appreciation for all whom we take our journey with. And when we do it is really important that we focus on people who contribute in ways, big and small, and recognize them for how they make the world a better place. As we enter the month of March we start with the acknowledgment that March is Women's History Month, an annual declared month that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. It is celebrated during March in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, corresponding with International Women’s Day on March 8th. It is cool to think that for the next 31 days we can celebrate women who have worked to make our community and our world a better place. The blog will focus on a few of these special people over the next month and it would be great if we could do this, each of us in our own way, what a great and positive move that would be.
Loving life during Women’s History Month
