It is hard to find the words; sadness, sorrow, horror, two weeks in a row senseless loss of life by the hand of someone who should never have had a weapon in their hands. The human species has one advantage over all other species – we are capable of improving over our lifetime. And when tragedies like this happen or other avoidable losses occur, we have failed as a community. We are all to help each other, care for each other, accept our differences and live long and rewarding lives together, wherever that might be. But we cannot just leave it as it is, we need to make changes and be committed to a better world. So, as we mourn the loss of these 18 beautiful people let’s open our hearts and think of how we will make our communities better and safer places to live, we owe it to each other and ourselves to do this, amen…..
