The longer we are on the journey the faster we go and the more we take for granted. It is just the nature of how our system works. It gets better and better and with that less intervention is required. Less thinking, less assessing, fewer choices. But with progress comes risk as it is possible that our system may miss changes that have happened. Knowing the potential for risk should guide us to step back from time to time and review our assumptions and evaluate if we need to adjust. Even a moment of reflection can save us a lot of unwinding and avoidance of issues that we could have, for sure, avoided. Just a bit of discipline on the journey, that’s all it is.
