Food Matters

We are active and productive – it is what our journey ensures.  And to make sure that we are ready for all that the journey is about and what we need to think about regarding nutrition and how we eat.  We all need to have flexibility in our diet so that we can accommodate what the journey will throw at us.  A few strategies that we need to embrace to help make us the best version of ourselves:

  • When we are busy and pushing, we need to eat enough. 

  • Make carbohydrates nutritious

  • Let’s get enough protein and fat.

  • Keep our food selections colorful, nature is great this way

  • Align our eating to our training.  When we are intense, we need to eat more and different.

  • Let’s not be stuck to just one way of eating – there are times when the body just knows what it needs.  Follow how we feel – it just works

  • Treat ourselves when we feel appropriate

  • Start each day with breakfast – it is a great way to get going. 

When we get it right, we feel it and this is one of those topics that we all need to get right
