The more time we spend on our journey the better we get at what we do. After enough time it is hard to remember what it was like being a beginner. We also can find ourselves ineffective at relating to the newbies in our areas of expertise and deep experience. Therein lies a good challenge for us. A challenge to remember what it was like the first time, how we struggled and made mistakes, how we made assumptions and tried approaches that just did not work as expected. We did persevere and found our way to be quite good at what we do. And with our experience an opportunity to set us up to help others who are new to their chosen endeavor. We can tell them all which we would love to have known and how to make progress and where to focus. With the right level of assistance that first time becomes a much better experience and a path to be the best that we can be.
