As we go along on our journey it is fun and inspiring to watch and admire incredible athletic achievements of others. And this year has been full of them, from the Major Sports to Tour de France to the Olympics records were set and the competitors took their sport to the next level. And the amazing accomplishments continued this past weekend when the number one female ultra-runner, Courtney Dauwalter (USA), won the 172 km, Ultra-trail Mont Blanc (UTMB). UTMB is known as the “champions” race and Courtney delivered her second win in a record-breaking time. Courtney is just fun to watch, the consummate competitor, win or not, she smiles the whole way, she celebrates all whom compete, and she competes as hard as anyone. With performances continuing to raise the bar it will be great to see what the next year brings and if it was anything like the past 12 months we are in for a treat.
