All too often while on our journey we lose people both close to us and some who are far from us. When it is closer to “home” we are stopped in our tracks, and we take a moment to reflect on our journey. With each loss we start to feel the cumulative effect of such losses on our life. And the closer the loss, the more we think about it and the more deeply it affects us. While we all know that we will have our own ending one day, and while we will never really be ready for such a moment, these moments move us to reflect and search for answers with a hope of a deeper understanding of the meaning of life. As these processes and our feelings play out over time, we need to be sure to take a moment to remember the best of who our friend was and the legacy that they leave. Amen
