There are thoughts and concepts that capture a lot of the essence of life and to the degree that we internalize them the deeper our level of insight into all of what we are. In the literal Latin, Sine Qua Non means “without which not”. A good mind-bender and a true deep perspective about life. Our modern translation would be “an essential condition; a thing that is absolutely necessary”. And we know what falls into this category; we get better at knowing this the longer we are on our journey. What is it that without it we cease to have a purpose? What is it that really makes us who we are, what we do, and what we are to become? It seems that it is a good question for all of us to ask ourselves and see where we get. And then work it again and again until we are happy with what we discover. Sine qua non…..indeed
