Well, we are off to a good start. The first race of the year is done, a 33-mile trail run in the Estrella Mountains, west of Phoenix. It is always great to get out and see how the legs feel and what is possible early in the year. The verdict is good – all systems go – no wobbles, no issues, just a good solid effort with no drama and a reasonable amount of enjoyment. Outside, running on the trail and enjoying all that it brings is a great way to start the year. For all of us, this is a reminder that the plans we set out in December blossom quickly and in so doing can get us off to a great start. Plan and execute – it is what we all should be doing.
Loving life when I get outside on the trail
