Our journey, for all the benefits that it brings us, has a flaw that we have to be aware of. Being busy with all that is on our plate can be used as a reason to explain why we do not get to some of the things that we should be doing. For example, we know that we should stay in touch with our friends, but we let our “being busy” get in the way of making that “phone call”. We cannot leave it there, though. We need to make time to phone a friend. That human connection is essential to feeling good about ourselves and to being able to seek guidance and support when we need it. A call can be trivial or significant but in either case, it is a foundation for us and a reassurance that we are not on this journey by ourselves. The more we connect the better it will be for us and the better it is for those who we call, yes, indeed.
