I have been known to state that there are only good days and great days in life, bad moments, but never bad days. And then there are some days when even this life theme is challenged by a confluence of events and situations that would made it impossible to try to make sense out of life. These days bring on a level of strain that is higher than normal and since they do not come often we need to learn how to ride them out – how not get too dramatic or overly reactive. On these days we call on our friends and family to help and support us, to listen to us and to help us navigate through feelings, emotions and life. You might wonder about THPL at this point – can we actually act at a high level in difficult times. I believe yes…. To be clear, though, THPL seeks not to ignore how we feel or ignore reality, rather it expects your reaction and thought to be appropriately sensitive to the situation and the follow on. And from there, from that difficult moment, we can pull forward using what we have learned from working through challenges in prior circumstance and from the love and care of our community - both serve as our guide forward. Yes, life will move on, and so will we – just differently, today turns into tomorrow and we will soon realize that we have even more reason to strive to live THPL.
Loving Life in memory of our dear friend and colleague Mark Burti, his zest for life and getting things done made him a true member of THPL crew, yes sir indeed…….
Ciao
