Hot to Cold

80 degrees F one moment, 20 degrees F the next.  Mexico and Providence in the same day, the contrast could not be more striking.  Temperature, terrain, surroundings, people.  And on our THPL journey the goodness in this “live” juxtaposition it is that it makes us more aware of our surroundings.  We need contrast and differences so that we can both know what we like, and also feel that which is around us.  Too often in life we keep the status quo and stay stable and see no contrast and we then can miss what is going on around us.  And so we need to actively seek out “different” and “differences”.  We can use it as way to figure out what we will like and what to avoid, and of course what you would want to repeat.  We can take this to whatever level we want.  The key is that contrast can help us just be smarter and/or it can change our behavior.  The bottom line, is that goodness comes from seeing different and with it a way to figure out that which we like and that which is less of our liking

Loving life, in shades of contrast
