THPL has hit a milestone, major by my standards, for 1,000 consecutive days I have written a post for The High Performance Life blog. 1,000 times that I brought to life, THPL in a way that minimally suited the writer and maximally caused a reader to think about themselves and their life’s journey in a different way. And for sure, I did not expect, when I started down this path that the journey would be so sustained. It gives me pause and good spirit to find that this mission, a mission to bring focus to a more holistic way to think about life – through the lens of Life, Learning and Fitness, has continued and it has done so with little burden. Rather, I have found joy, reflection, insight and purpose from this journey and as I learned, as every blogger learns – we write for ourselves. We write, not knowing what comes of our writing but knowing that the process and the posts provide reward enough and that all else is just gravy. Having lived through more than a few sustained streaks in my life I find the ability to stay the course for long periods of time defining and comforting. On a daily basis, when on this kind of journey, you get to meet yourself every day and see if you like what you find. A worthwhile process that I recommend highly.
And so where do we go – another 1,000 days? There is little reason to do anything but stay the course. The Blog lives on and so do I- as I have been known to say, I am not exactly sure what I will find as I venture on the next part of this journey but it will be magical for sure. Here’s to 1,000 in a row – it is a good feeling indeed……
Loving life, with 1,000 done and more to come!
