There are many things that can derail us as we pass along on our THPL journey. Limited time, alternative plans, lack of priority – they can all take us of track. They seem, though, to be rather explicit and appear to be of the kind of risk that is obvious and that we can do something about. The bigger issue seems to be following the theme of “playing it safe” - thinking about it, this appears be the biggest risk to progress. You know what “playing safe” looks like – you make excuses, you eternally procrastinate, you build a case as to why change won’t work. And with this theme you find your way to a dead end. You don’t go on the journey and progress halts. Unacceptable, really……
So instead of missing out on the THPL journey and truly living, we need to reframe our thinking and continually ask ourselves, “what is the risk of staying where we are? We know that to get better we need to move. And the risks of movement are in fact lower than that of staying put. So, it is indeed time to think about how to change and to quote an old proverb: ‘Fortune favors the bold’. Just imagine what you could accomplish in the next ten years if you were truly courageous. Exciting stuff, for sure....
Loving life, when being really bold
