The easiest way to tell someone what a typical THPL person “looks like" would be to show them a “role model” example of what one would look and sound like. And today I had the distinct opportunity to see a true THPL role model in action. Jason Dorsey, the “Gen Y” guy presented at the Aspect ACE 2015 customer event and he rocked the house! He brought a level of passion, enthusiasm, content, substance, advice and humor that really cannot be found in a single “package”, even if you look far and wide. Jason presented to a group of about 800 of us and wowed us with Millennial generation insights that he authors from the Center for Generational Kinetics. From humorous anecdotes about the lack of millennial’s understanding of “cursive” to the millennial “tech dependence” insight it was hard not to see that Jason was a perfect example of a THPL individual. Full of life, clearly teaching us a lot and bouncing on the stage with an energy that was palpable. Now if only the rest of the generations followed his lead and lived the THPL. We might find this to be a much better place to be.....
