Day three in Brazil and the pull from all other activities and parts of one’s life get stronger and stronger. And while on this part of the THPL journey is interesting, compelling and intense it can still be hard from to stay focused on the local mission. But then we need to remind ourselves that what matters is where we are and what we came to do. There is always time for the things that are going on around us and we need to resist the temptation to be somewhere else. We went on this part of the journey to be there – we need to stay focused, deliver on our local mission and to get the most value out of our time where we are. Being present is an important, if not critical element, of achieving what THPL challenges us to do. Through focus and follow through and execution on our appointed mission makes it work and everything else work as well. A bit of practice and we can really get good at “being present” and then every part of the journey is perfect.
