A few days ago, Adam Kimble left Huntington Beach CA to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Fastest Crossing of America (USA) on foot by a male, a record that has stood for nearly 36 years. The current record for the fastest run across the USA is 46 days, 8 hours and 36 minutes. It was set by American Frank Giannino Jr., who ran from San Francisco to New York beginning on September 1 and ending October 17, 1980. From what I know it feels like Adampart of our THPL community - he lists the following as his reason to do the race:
· To inspire…people all over the world to pursue their passions and trust in the call given to them, accomplishing things they never thought they could do. Anything is possible with faith and hard work.
· To push the limits…of mind and body, relentlessly giving everything
· To raise awareness…for i2P and the incredible things they are doing to educate, inspire and empower the next generation, so that they will not be afraid to push beyond their perceived limits and achieve the “impossible.”
I look forward to tracking Adam's progress and hoping that he can indeed reach his goal but in case he does not then he still wins as he has set out a goal and pursued it. It really is that simple – THPL at work. Let’s see what happens
Loving life ….when reaching for a very big goal
