We are well on our way into 2020 and we all are hearing more and more the same retort, wow this year is already flying by. It makes us pause a bit and wonder, what does it feel like when time is moving by so fast? What have I been doing? And from that moment an opportunity for a bit of introspection. It is true that when we are busy that it feels like time moves by more quickly. It is also true that it is a feeling that is hard to pin down. Maybe it is time to step back and try to figure out what it is we are doing and is it really what we want to be doing as time flies by. A simple act is all we need to assess and understand. Let’s write down what is we did for a 24-hour period in the past week. We can pick whatever day we want. All we have to do is to write out what we did each hour (or our best approximation). Then when we have it completed, we can step back, review it and think about how we feel about our level of activity, productiveness, and satisfaction with what we did. Would we do it the same way? Or might we change? Regardless of the answer what matters is that we take the time to evaluate what we are doing. It really is up to us – good enough or change. Either work, it is up to us to choose
Loving life when I write it down
